On Your Bike provides specialist motorcycle test preparation for riders in Warrington, Cheshire and across the North West. The DVSA motorcycle test centres serving our area are Atherton, St Helens and Chester — approximately 30–45 minutes from our Central Thelwall training base. We prepare you fully for both Module 1 and Module 2 before you go anywhere near it.
Module 1 — Off-Road Manoeuvres Test
Module 1 is conducted at the DVSA test centre (not on public roads) and lasts around 20 minutes. You’ll be assessed on six specific exercises. Our training at On Your Bike covers every one of them until they’re automatic:
- Slow-speed riding and balance
- U-turn (within a marked box)
- Figure of eight
- Controlled stop from 30 mph
- Emergency stop from 50 mph
- Hazard avoidance (swerve)
Module 2 — On-Road Test
Module 2 is a 40-minute supervised ride on real roads around the test centre, assessed by a DVSA examiner. It tests your ability to ride safely, independently, and to the Highway Code. We prepare you with on-road training sessions that mirror the routes and conditions you’ll face on the day.
